Anzer Honey Geographical Indication Certificate issued for our Cooperative for Anzer Honey, which was taken under protection by taking Geographical Indications with the initiatives of Rize Provincial Directorate of Agriculture in 2021, was delivered to our Cooperative President İshak YILMAZ by Rize Agriculture Provincial Director Murat GENÇ.
Rize Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, which wants to prevent fraud in Anzer Honey, which has become the target of honey fraudsters, has launched the Anzer Honey Control application, which can check whether the Geographical Indication labels are fake or not.
Anzer Honey, which is considered the richest honey in the world in terms of content and natural diversity by all food authorities, is in the focus of honey fraudsters. Counterfeit honeys using the name, brand and labels of our cooperative threaten the consumer.

Anzer Honey, which is produced in Anzer Plateau of our İkizdere district and is included in the records of the Ottoman period, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office as a result of the initiatives of the Rize Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and was deemed worthy of a geographical indication certificate.
